About OCRF

The Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation (OCRF) has been established to foster research into ovarian cancer - a disease which in Australia claims the life of one woman every 10 hours and often remains undetected until in its advanced stages.

Established in May 2000 and led by eminent gynaecological oncology specialist, Chairman/Co-Founder Associate Professor Thomas Jobling and CEO Liz Heliotis.

... it is hard to know where to begin when you are talking about a life-threatening disease.

About OCRF

Goals and Objectives:

  • To develop and implement an early detection program;
  • To improve the mortality rate, management and long-term survival of women with ovarian cancer;
  • To gain fundamental understanding of the causes of ovarian cancer.

Although significant progress is being made into understanding the biological and overall management of ovarian cancer, this can only be continued with support from the community and the corporate world.
