You can help the Foundation raise awareness and funds by holding your own fundraising event or activity in your local community.

All funds raised are donated to the OCRF and are utilised for research into finding an early detection test for ovarian cancer.

Fundraising Activities can include:

  • Morning/ Afternoon Tea
  • Seminars/ Forums
  • Bike Rides
  • Fun Runs
  • Fashion Parades
  • Flower/ Garden Shows

 

OCRF Community Fundraising

The Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation was established in May 2000 and led by eminent gynaecological oncology specialist, Chairman/Co-Founder Associate Professor Thomas Jobling and CEO/Co-Founder Liz Heliotis.

The Foundation’s mission is:

  • To develop and implement an early detection program;
  • To improve the mortality rate, management and long-term survival of women with ovarian cancer;
  • To gain fundamental understanding of the causes of ovarian cancer.

How you can help

You can help the Foundation raise awareness and funds by holding your own fundraising event or activity in your local community.   Fundraising guidelines have been developed to ensure that your experience is fun and rewarding and to protect our policies and image in line with our strategic direction and organisational procedures.

All funds raised are donated to the OCRF and are utilised for research into finding an early detection test for ovarian cancer.

Community fundraising events and activities must be approved by the OCRF.  If you would like to help the Foundation raise funds and awareness please download, complete and submit the OCRF Fundraising Expression of Interest Form (PDF).

Fundraising activities must be conducted in accordance with the official OCRF Community Fundraising Guidelines .

The OCRF is extremely grateful to the individuals and communities which have embraced the Foundation and helped raise much need awareness and funds for ovarian cancer research. Fundraisers have included trivia nights, local community sausage sizzles, gala balls and golf days.
