Bernadette, 53 years

It's been four years since I lost my mother to ovarian cancer when she was 53. She was so beautiful and strong and I dream about her all the time - discovering that she's still alive somewhere in the world.

Like many of the other ladies who have written in, my mother had a late diagnosis. The doctors and nurses were really lovely and cared for her well. However, by the time that she actually found someone that knew what they were doing after months and years of persistent follow up with some of the GPs and lower specialists, it was really too late. I hope you are able to continue the work to raise awareness among GPs.
