Clinical Collection

Continued donation by patients has seen our clinical sample collection grow to over 800 samples in 2011, providing an extraordinarily valuable and unique resource for research. We thank all patients for donating their time and samples – they are a vital component for the future development of an early stage cancer screening test.

Our ongoing collection program continued in 2010 in both Melbourne and Sydney, and was extended to the recruiting and collection of plasma and urine samples from healthy women. These women are of major importance in ongoing research projects, as their samples will provide the baseline for testing and detecting changes in cancer patients. In 2011, we also expect to extend our collection to several major hospitals in Queensland.

All women who donate samples for our research are integral to the development of an accurate ovarian cancer screening test. We encourage all women undergoing initial surgery for suspected ovarian cancer or alternatively healthy post menopausal women to participate in our ongoing program of research.
