help give women the future they deserve.

At a time when five-year survival rates for many cancers are now upwards of 90%, for ovarian cancer, it is still just 49%.

Your gift can help us catch up, funding the brilliant Australian research teams working to change these statistics. Give before June 30, your donation is 100% tax deductible.

We're playing catch up.

Help us move faster.

Ovarian cancer is the most lethal gynaecological cancer, and diagnoses are rising.

With vague and non-specific symptoms, low awareness and no early detection test, women are still being diagnosed late, and when they are, they are treated with drugs that are often inadequate.

That's not inevitable. It's a funding problem. And it's one we can solve, with your help.

Karyn's story

Six months of symptoms, and no one thought of ovarian cancer.

Six months. Multiple doctor visits. No answers.

By the time Karyn was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer, she had six litres of fluid in her abdomen. Doctors had put her symptoms down to food intolerance, then hormones, then menopause.

This was not a ‘silent cancer’ – it was shouting.

Now, Karyn faces a very uncertain future.

More research is urgently needed to find the tests and treatments that will change stories like Karyn’s.

Your donation at work

Progress is happening. It’s closer than you’d think.

A major barrier to treating ovarian cancer is the immune system’s limited ability to recognise and attack ovarian cancer tumour cells. Thanks to OCRF donor support, Dr Gwo Yaw Ho and his team at Monash Health and Monash University are developing new approaches that could transform how ovarian cancer is treated, including ways to make it more responsive to immunotherapies that have worked so well in other cancers.

This targeted approach could reduce the need for the gruelling chemotherapy regimens women like Karyn endure today. Early results are promising, with clinical trials on the horizon.

Research like this doesn't happen without funding.

Friend, please give as generously as you can before June 30.

Your gift can help change the stories and the statistics.
