The Lab is a community of like-minded people coming together to provide a solid foundation of funding each month, so that vital ovarian cancer research can continue uninterrupted.
As a member of The Lab, your commitment is invaluable and your contribution provides the life-blood of research funding. The Lab funding enables researchers to stay in the lab where they do their best work, rather than in the office writing grant applications. In return, we’ll make you part of the team by providing you with:

It's a commitment to creating better outcomes for the next generation of women and girls.
By joining The Lab, you’ll be helping researchers like Dr Maree Bilandzic achieve ovarian cancer research breakthroughs. Her work is focussed on stopping ovarian cancer from spreading, through new treatments.
A few years ago my team and I discovered a certain strain of ovarian cancer cells called “leader cells”. These cells are responsible for the spreading of cancerous cells to healthy tissue and they’re also very hard to kill with chemotherapy.
With the help of The Lab community, we’ve been able to target these leader cells and stop them in their tracks. We still have a lot of work to do but the ultimate goal is to destroy this leader cell population for good, allowing for chemotherapy to be used and to stop the disease recurring.”
Researchers across Australia are working on projects to address early detection, as well as developing new and more effective treatments for ovarian cancer. They need your ongoing support to access the funding that will keep their research moving.
Your monthly ovarian cancer donation, along with other members of The Lab, will create a sustainable, reliable funding base for researchers tackling ovarian cancer in the lab, where real progress is made. Join our community and start your monthly gift today.
