Helen Hatzis (1965-2016) passed away after an eight year battle with ovarian cancer. In that eight year period, Helen became an ambassador for the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation (OCRF). She hosted and spoke at functions raising awareness about this insidious disease and the need for an early detection test to change the statistics where, in Australia, a woman dies every 8 hours from Ovarian Cancer.
With Helen’s passing, a few of her closest friends and family formed the Helen’s Hope Committee to honour her legacy and raise funds for worthwhile causes. Helen was more than a cancer sufferer. She was a wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt and friend. Helen was also a dedicated speech pathologist, teacher, mentor and philanthropist.
Please join the Helen’s Hope Foundation at a screening of the new Lion King to raise funds for the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation (OCRF). Come along for a fantastic night with raffles and drinks at bar prices. Tickets are $38 and include a small popcorn and choice of soft drink or a bottle of water. Thank you to all of our supporters - we hope to see you there!
