Fundraise for OCRF

In Australia alone, one woman dies every eight hours from ovarian cancer

The OCRF is making headway towards finding an early detection test for ovarian cancer, and improving the lives of Australian women threatened by this insidious disease. But we couldn’t do any of it without the dedication, time, effort and passion of the heroes that help us everyday - the people who raise funds on our behalf.

There are many ways to fundraise on behalf of the OCRF. You can get involved by hosting your own event, participating in a fun run, or participating in one of our fundraising campaigns. You may even have a unique fundraising idea that you would like to share with us.

Whether it’s your mother, wife, sister, friend, or daughter - every woman you know will benefit from your generous support.

Organise a group of friends to join you for a high tea. You could host the event at your home, asking attendees to bring their favourite dessert.

Casual day

The workplace is a great place to fundraise. Chat to your boss about hosting a casual clothes day, with employees asked to donate to the OCRF.

Donate auction items

Local businesses are often very willing to donate auction prizes in return for brand exposure, and bidders receive something for their donation.

Trivia night

For a day, a week or the whole month of October, something as simple as the clothes we put on our back has the potential to start important conversations, raising awareness of the lack of early detection method, of women’s experiences, and of how we as a community can do more to support ovarian cancer research.

An integral part of Witchery’s annual fundraising efforts is their partnership involvement in the White Shirt Campaign, creating a special capsule collection of white shirts available in Witchery stores across Australia and New Zealand.

One hundred percent of gross proceeds from all of these white shirt collection sales go directly to ovarian cancer research.

Our fundraisers are the lifeblood of the OCRF

“Unfortunately, my older sister passed away from this insidious disease. Not enough is known about ovarian cancer, and unlike breast cancer, there is no early detection. My sister loved a party so we host a bi-annual disco called 35+GST to celebrate her life and have raised over $44k for the OCRF, with the next one earmarked for May 2021.”
- Nicholas Kalogeropoulos, OCRF Ambassador & Community Fundraiser
