Hi, I’m Avalon. I’ve launched the #OvariesForLife social media campaign to help raise awareness and funds to go towards the discovery of an early detection test for ovarian cancer.

This cause is close to my heart as I lost my mother to ovarian cancer in 2020. During this time it brought to light the lack of awareness and funding for ovarian cancer research.

Shockingly, unlike other cancers, there is still no early detection test for ovarian cancer. This meant my mum, who was a healthy and active 60 year old, was only diagnosed at a late stage after showing physical symptoms. Raising funds for an early detection test is so important because if this disease is caught early, it would significantly increase survival rates and save the lives of millions of women worldwide.

It’s time to raise awareness about this. Here’s how you can take part:

Join me and share a baby photo of yourself on social media, include the hashtag #OvariesForLife with a link to this donation page in your caption and/or bio.

A baby photo signifies our first stage of life and human life starts with ovaries, we need to protect them!
