My mum was diagnosed with breast cancer after a freakishly lucky early detection, then my sister was too a few months later. It was scary, but thanks to the early screening availability and accuracy that exists today they are getting treatment to save their lives. Ovarian cancer on the other hand does not yet have the same early early detection and screening, so women are finding out too late, with limited options to fight. My sister Sarah starts her chemo for her breast cancer this week and will loose all her beautiful hair. We’re going to shave our heads together. I’m going to stand by my sister as much as I can through this. We want to raise some money to stand by our sisters who are fighting Ovarian cancer, and contribute to funding research that will ensure early detection and screening can give them a fighting chance, like it has for my sister and my mum. Will you donate, and watch us shave our heads together on Saturday the 12th of November?
