Honouring My beautiful and courageous Mum: A Call to Support Ovarian Cancer Research

Mums fight is over but ours isn’t even close. That's why I am urgently calling for support for the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation (OCRF) to help develop an early detection test. Currently, there is no such test available.

Every eight hours, one woman dies from ovarian cancer. Of all gynecological cancers, ovarian cancer is the deadliest, with the poorest survivability rate—fewer than half of those diagnosed will survive five years from diagnosis. Treatment options haven’t changed in 30 years. Imagine a world where women could have access to an early detection test!

In honor of my dear mum and best friend, I am continuing mums legacy by creating a permanent donation page.

Over the years, I cannot thank you enough for all your support throughout my mum’s journey and in my fundraising drives, but our efforts cannot stop now. As the most lethal gynecological cancer, ovarian cancer has a devastating impact on women's health and their families, but there is hope. By donating to OCRF, you are helping to fund vital research that will ultimately lead to an early detection test. Every contribution makes a difference, no matter how big or small.

My mum’s fight against this insidious disease was nothing short of courageous. She was a shining example of grace and strength, even in the face of adversity. She is my daily inspiration. Nothing was ever too much; she faced this disease head-on. We smiled and laughed through chemo, and on her darkest days, she never complained—she just looked forward to the next chemo to “beat this thing.”

Inspired by her bravery, we are committed to continuing our support for vital research. Although her fight is over, ours isn’t. Please help us keep my mum's legacy alive by donating to the OCRF.
