Thanks for visiting my Silver Lining Ride fundraising page.

In 2017 I lost my beautiful mum - Mands - to Ovarian Cancer... a beast of a disease which she fought for more than 11 years. Tragically we lose one Australian woman every 8 hours to this disease and a further four women are diagnosed every day.

After losing mum, we went in search of a Silver Lining - something to give us some hope that a future without ovarian cancer could exist.

We found that silver lining in the Silver Lining Ride - a bike ride which in its first year took us more than 1,000km from Adelaide to Melbourne and in our second year another 1,000km from Canberra to Melbourne. We've made our way through countless country towns, raising awareness and funds for the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation... all in the name of finding an early detection test for the disease and one day stopping it in its tracks.

In our two years, we've raised more than $200,000 and reached millions of people through extensive media coverage.

This year, we're aiming high - hoping to raise a further $150,000 to fund research projects which will bring us closer to the early detection test we need to improve survival rates for women with this horrid disease.

Your support is HUGELY valued by me and all the team - we welcome all donations great and small, financial and in-kind.

Should you be able to contribute in-kind please don't hesitate to email me at gherbert@aflplayers.com.au.

Thank you!
