Diane passed away from ovarian cancer in September 2014, less than two years after her diagnosis. She was 49.

This fundraiser has been created in memory of Diane as the 10th anniversary approaches.

As part of this fundraiser her two children are each donating over 30cm of hair which they have been growing over the past 3 years! Their hair will be donated to a charity that makes wigs for people undergoing cancer treatment.

Diane's presence is wholeheartedly missed by her children and family. She left them during a pivotal time in their lives - her daughters’ final months of year 12 and her son’s commencement at university in the city. They are honouring Diane’s memory and have chosen to create this fundraiser to support the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation (OCRF).

There is currently no early detection test available for ovarian cancer. During her treatment, Diane participated in clinical trials at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne to contribute to finding a cure.

The OCRF funds researchers who investigate cutting edge techniques for early detection and improved treatment to slow or stop disease progression.

Please help us raise funds for vital research.
