Recorded webinar – The Path to Hope on World Ovarian Cancer Day.

As part of the OCRF’s program for World Ovarian Cancer Day 2024, we hosted a special webinar – The Path to Hope on World Ovarian Cancer Day.

Framed by a story of personal experience, it was a wide ranging, engaging and informative discussion covering a variety of topics from the big challenges to the most promising directions for detection, prevention and treatments for ovarian cancer.

The webinar featured inspirational OCRF Ambassador Olivia Curtis, who is living with ovarian cancer (LGSOC); internationally recognised expert in ovarian cancer research and a pioneer in genomics and personalised medicine, Prof David Bowtell from Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and the University of Melbourne; and Dr Rachel Delahunty a talented researcher and medical oncologist at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, The Mercy Hospital for Women and Geelong University Hospital.

Hosted by professional facilitator, Loretta Hart, this was a rare opportunity to hear directly from the lab and learn what science is teaching us about this insidious disease.
