Fitness fanatics fundraising for ovarian cancer research

Marathon runner Steve Mallia lost his sister-in-law to ovarian cancer and is running the Blackmores Sydney Marathon this September 15 in memory of her, and to raise funds for OCRF. Steve is encouraging individuals and businesses to run the 42.195km marathon with him, but with minimal effort by hitching a ride on his shirt, just by donating through his fundraising page.

Donations over $40 will score your name to be printed on Steve’s running shirt, and businesses that donate over $400 will have their logo printed on the front of his shirt. The highest two donations will receive a signed Essendon Football club jumper and a framed Sydney Swan team of the century signed jumper.

Steve’s fundraising plight has inspired other fitness fanatics to fundraise for OCRF; namely his gym Snap Fitness Bendigo. On July 27 Snap Fitness Bendigo are having a second-hand activewear clothing sale. You can help support their cause just by donating or purchasing the activewear for sale. If you’re not in the market for activewear, you can still help by attending their booty fitness class or having a body scan – all proceeds raised will be donated to OCRF.

By actively supporting Steve and Snap’s cause, you are helping save the lives of women Australia-wide.
