Kel Pittman

Kel was 43 years old when she was diagnosed with Stage 3 ovarian cancer in 2014.  After undergoing immediate treatment and being declared in remission, Kel unfortunately suffered a relapse in September 2017. Kel has been a committed advocate for women living with ovarian cancer and is a part of the OCRF's Consumer Representative Panel. Her focus is now on managing the disease for life, and supporting the research that will ensure her daughter won’t face the same threats in her adult life.

I have a 14-year-old daughter, Mollie. I want her and her friends to be able to grow up and have a test for ovarian cancer as part of their regular health check-up. I don't want them to fear this, and that is my motivation for spreading the word about signs and symptoms, and raising money for research. It's not going to save my life, but it might just save hers or one of her friends'."
