I am fundraising to support ongoing research into an early detection test for ovarian cancer, as well as improved treatments to help women and girls survive this silent disease. The Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation (OCRF) is the leading charity dedicated to funding ovarian cancer research and all donations go towards supporting researchers around Australia. Ovarian cancer is the most lethal and least understood reproductive cancer. Over 1000 Australians lose their lives to the disease every year. The five-year survival rate for ovarian cancer in Australia is just 49%, meaning those diagnosed face less than half a chance of surviving five years from their diagnosis. I want to help change the statistics and give those diagnosed with ovarian cancer a greater chance of survival. All donations will support the OCRF to fund more ovarian cancer research across Australia & New Zealand.
