Project Description:

With ovarian cancer a rare disease, one of the challenges for ovarian cancer researchers is getting access to samples of various types of ovarian cancer, and samples that relate to various stages of ovarian cancer. Particularly, as there is no early detection test, getting samples of the cancer in its earlier stages can be challenging.

Expected/Achieved Outcomes:

Knowledge Building: By funding a tissue bank the OCRF is assisting researchers at The University of Adelaide, and others, overcome this challenge.

Project Status:

This tissue bank continues to collect and distribute valuable samples for research.
