GET INVOLVED

Supporting ovarian cancer research is essential to lifting survival rates and creating a better future for generations of women to come.

BECOME AN OCRF ADVOCATE

It’s incredibly important that the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation has ambassadors and advocates who are able to relate their own experiences of ovarian cancer and work with us to advocate for better outcomes. We aim to reflect the voices of those impacted by ovarian cancer – directly and indirectly – in our communication with the broader community.

We encourage anyone with lived experience of ovarian cancer to get in touch if they’d like to share their story as an OCRF Ambassador. However, you can also be an ambassador if you haven’t personally lived with ovarian cancer. We welcome friends and family members of those impacted by ovarian cancer to join our ambassador community and help raise awareness.

The role of an advocate or ambassador can be varied, depending on each individual’s preferences and time availability.

BEING AN OVARIAN CANCER AMBASSADOR

The types of activities a community advocate or ambassador may be involved in often include:

  • Speaking at local community events
  • Advocating on social media
  • Involvement in OCRF fundraising campaigns
  • Media interviews
