For 25 years, the OCRF has filled a critical gap in funding for ovarian cancer research, enabling and supporting researchers to pursue vital research that would not have been possible otherwise.
It’s also provided a source of hope, community, and connection for many people affected by ovarian cancer, and, through some iconic corporate partnerships, it has raised awareness and funds for a cancer that had been languishing in the shadows for too long. It’s not spoken about, poorly understood, and has been grossly underfunded by the major funding bodies.
This short film tells a story of progress and hope. It brings together the voices of our community: researchers, advocates, supporters, and families, reflecting on the journey so far and the impact of the OCRF.
There is still a way to go, but there are hopeful signs everywhere, fuelled by an unwavering commitment to our vision of a future where those impacted by ovarian cancer live healthy, vital lives.
The OCRF won’t rest until every Australian affected by ovarian cancer can, and does, survive and thrive.
